Collabaration with parents

Taalschool de Kameleon finds good contact with parents important. When registering, parents have an intake interview. Parents receive information about the school and can ask questions. If the pupil is at school for a few weeks, parents have an introductory meeting with the group teacher. After that, the group teacher invites parents for a meeting once every 10 weeks. The conversation then focuses on the child's development at school and at home. If there are any questions, parents can make an appointment with the teacher or the management after school. At Taalschool de Kameleon, 'Language and school' lessons are given for parents. These lessons are there to better learn the Dutch language. The teacher also tells what the children are learning at school and discusses, for example, the schoolnews or agenda.
